The Fox Hole recognised at Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards
The Fox Hole has been recognised at Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards, highlighting the strength, structure and integrity of its wine programme within a highly competitive national field.
The Wine List of the Year Awards are judged against a detailed set of criteria, including balance, clarity, pricing, suitability to cuisine, and the overall coherence of the wine offering. Lists are also assessed on their ability to demonstrate both depth and accessibility, with accurate vintages, clear formatting and thoughtful curation required as part of the judging process.
At The Fox Hole, the wine list is designed as an evolving narrative. The current chapter, Tales of Terroirs, focuses on wines that express a clear sense of place, bringing together regions from Tasmania to Burgundy in a format that is both structured and approachable.
The list comprises 35 wines, with 17 available by the glass across multiple formats, allowing guests to explore individual wines or share more broadly. This flexibility, combined with a focus on storytelling and balance, underpins the overall experience.
As part of this year’s awards, The Fox Hole was awarded 1 Glass, recognising a well-constructed and thoughtfully presented wine list.
This recognition reflects the continued development of The Fox Hole’s beverage programme, where wine sits alongside a considered cocktail and spirits offering as part of a broader, experience-led approach.
